Japan probably under-reports the number of cases. For the reasons you mentioned. #saveFace

So true! I remember my sex education growing up in Japan was just a few videos that I watched with 1000 other students so I never really got enough information on it. Now, I feel like it's become a topic I feel more comfortable talking about with my friends about and I hope that …

I remember that a big part of the Ending HIV campaign in NSW Australia was: 1) Normalize testing frequently, and 2) the different strategies to minimize transmission risk, and 3) education about U=U.

Good job guys! Insightful. A wonderful public service vlog. Happy to hear that there is more effort on education/awareness in JPN.

I feel blessed to live in France where PreP is 100% paid by the social security (national health system), just like the visits to the doctor who follows your treatment. I hope more countries will have that.

Now that prep is there, I hope that education will catch up with syphilis. We can still treat it. But if you don’t know what to look for, it can be silent and cause big issues later on.

I take PrEP and hope everyone including people in Japan can get PrEP easily and cheaper... I can get 3 bottles of PrEP every 3month with kidney and STD test, pricing about A$120.

A pharmacy where I usually get PrEP in NYC does not ship PrEP to Japan. So I stopped taking it since I am back in Japan.. I have been sexless since pandemic so I was like oh well doesn't really matter.. lol In terms of HIV, I am not sure if Japanese people are educated enough on …

Antivirals may have serious health consequences. Only take them if you need them.

ouch... so expensive in Japan o.O; ... now feel so fortunate the PrEP is free in BC, Canada~ just that we gotta get tested every 3 months, never experienced any side effects~

There is now a clinic close to Shinjuku stn (not far from the Dai-Gado intersection West-exit-ish) that prescribes PrEP (Tenvir-em) that I found a couple months ago. It is a bit more expensive than if order directly online, but not super expensive AND you can get 3 month’s worth …

Insightful! Might hav missed it but it would hav been great if there were recommended clinics for people living with hiv

I just wish Japan did the same level of education regarding HPV with women; it causes cervical/ovarian cancer but Japan doesn't recommend taking the vaccines for it, which is insane.

HIV is no longer a death sentence. Ive known a lot of HIV positive guys who are living for more than 10 years and are on medication. Early detection, prevention, and early treatment is now more accessible but still considered a privilege in some countries. It's scarier to get ant…

Thank you for the video. I know there are issues with acceptance in Japan but the improvements (like improving PrEP access) is awesome.

For the hard of hearing, you make your vids extremely tough to hear when you have music over your dialogue. Just leave it out. Unnecessary.

I was really surprised to learn about PrEP a couple of years ago (I think it showed up in How To Get Away With Murder but it didn’t click in m my brain at the time). PrEP and PeP are something the general population should know more about so people, like y’all mentioned at the e…

Hello there I want to come to Japan to study language and then find a job and settle down, but I don't know how to pay for medication costs because I am HIV positive. Do you know an organization that can support this?

Doctor's told me that people who take PrEP tend to engage in (a lot) more sex. The people I've gotten sti's from were all on PrEP.

What website are you using and is that price with or without insurance? I know Japan has national medical program , but i don't know if it would be covered since you have to order it online. I ask because the cheapest i can find prep is like $200.

I'm not sure what was it, but I saw a report that people in Japan don't have a lot of sex. Is that true for gays? There is an increasing number of “graysexuals” in Europe 😆
