It's okay—nice weather, you can earn good money, but costs are high. Life is go to work in the morning, come home in the evening, weekends are laundry and cleaning the room—time's gone. Food-wise, at first it was exciting eating Western food, but after a while you start craving Thai food. When I first went abroad to Sweden, stepping off the plane, the first thing I missed was pad kra pao. When I got to the house of an acquaintance, they made salmon gaeng som, fried omelette, fried salted fish, and chicken pad kra pao for me. Rent in New York for a curtain-partitioned room is 15,000 baht a month. At first, seeing snow was super exciting—I'd run out and play. But now I never want it to snow again, it's hard to go anywhere and freezing cold. Thailand's hot, sure, but food is abundant. Thai fruits are available all year, Thai food is the best. Living abroad, even if you cook Thai food yourself, it won't taste as good as in Thailand because ingredients aren't fresh. Holy basil is hard to find and barely has any smell. Frozen galangal used for tom kha has no aroma. You cook just to curb cravings. Pork has a smell, chicken is mushy, beef is great. Frozen catfish is expensive and comes from Vietnam. In Thailand, walking past a food stall, the smell of pad kra pao pulls you right in. America is good for visiting. If you work there, it's mostly in Thai restaurants. It depends on the person whether they can handle the situation.
ENThais who want to go to Europe for money—some are lucky, some unlucky. In the end, almost all come back to their homeland. I see Thailand as the most comfortable place in the world.
ENThailand is the best. I lived in America for over ten years, visited many European countries. Every country has pros and cons, but our home is best for Thai people. Safe, nice people, convenient food, low cost of living.

ENI've never lived abroad, but from what I see on YouTube, if you don't go for work or have a lot of income, it'd be tough. And thinking about myself, just a middle-class person with enough to live on in Thailand, if I went abroad I'd probably starve. ENI prefer living in America more. The income matches the expenses, life feels more valuable. In Thailand, the quality of life seems to die easily. Last time I visited Thailand, drivers aren't afraid of dying. Thailand generally doesn't have enough places for disabled people (my wife is disabled and needs a wheelchair). Overall, Thailand isn't suitable for my family's lifestyle.
ENSaying which country is better depends on familiarity and, importantly, financial security. Many Thais want to go to America, Europe, Japan—good weather, good money, opportunities for kids' education. Some people come back to retire in Thailand, not because Thailand is better, right? Some elderly with chronic illnesses need expensive meds not covered or available in Thailand, so they stay abroad. Personally, I encourage kids who have the chance to broaden their perspective by going abroad as they wish.

The US economy is about 49 times larger than Thailand's, which reflects the huge difference in scale and economic potential. The USA is the world's largest economy, so of course it has more opportunities and job creation than Thailand.
