ENI'm very glad that Mike likes our country. I'm from the new generation, and I love this country too. Thailand is a good country, but it still lacks development in many areas. If Thailand were more developed or managed better, I think it would be even more livable. Thank you, Mike, for loving our country. Have a happy life in Thailand. ❤
ENThe more I watch, the more I feel your cuteness, Mike, because it's not just about wanting to live in Thailand but also trying to study and learn Thai ways and culture... This is what Thai people like us worry about: that if lots of foreigners live in Thailand, it might reduce the intensity of preserving Thai culture and cause more cultural assimilation.
ENAfter watching many of your videos, you have a really good attitude. And thank you so much for making a book to help foreigners understand Thailand better.
ENIf it's a public parking spot at @20:11, you shouldn't pay at all. 2,000 is like getting robbed, way too expensive. But if it's private property, there should be a sign saying how much the parking fee is.
Hello Mike, I really love your videos. I lived in Thailand between 2013 and 2016. I took many thai classes. I dont have anyone to practice, however when I see your video I remember many things I already learned. I miss Thailand a lot, from all the countries I have been, Thailand …
ENJust seeing the clip title, I rushed in to say: You were Thai in a past life. Life is about choices. Development, civilization in everything will make us drift away from nature, simplicity. And when there's no encouragement, no way out, a society of perfectionism makes humans feel lost. Thailand has everything—super rural, super homey, extremely poor—but notice that if you get lost and ask for a place to sleep or food from those aunties and uncles, they'll welcome you immediately and might even bring out the best food they have for you. I love that you talk to vendors, eat street food, smile, chat with everyone... Welcome home, little brother.
ENMike is smart, handsome, and from your videos, you can really represent Thailand well. You answer foreigners' curiosities about what Thailand is like. You do it well. Thai people are happy and very proud of you for seeing Thailand in a positive light. Thai people thank you a lot.
ENCome to Chiang Mai too, okay? I'll suggest: you should make clips about the culture, the Northern people, the Lanna people, like the roots of the city people. You'll see it's different from other parts of Thailand. Please come..❤
ENPTT gas stations in Chiang Mai are all very beautiful. Some restrooms are as clean as five-star hotels. Probably because Chiang Mai is a tourist city, PTT pays attention to that.
It's not funny for Thai ppl to hear foreigners speaking Thai but we feel really glad that the person is actually trying hard to speak our (uneasy) language and yea we love it.
EN13:00 The part where you answered about the advantage of foreigners speaking Thai—it's so true. It's like leveling up, it really makes a difference. Knowing a little is okay, but it's like entering a whole new world, truly connecting with locals. And you'll be loved. You can go anywhere in Thailand. You won't have to be afraid of anything because if you don't know something, you can just ask, ask, ask, and everyone is ready to help.
ENGlad you like Thailand and want to stay here, but always remember: no place is perfect. Everywhere has flaws, dark sides, bad things happen. So don't trust everything or everyone too much—you've probably heard about that from Thai news. Anyway, I wish you happiness in the life you choose, and that you meet only good, moral, honest people who truly love and respect you.
if mike yu really wants to stay in thai, tell him he has to start a business (a real one not as youtuber). he has to either open a restaurant or either build a hotel/motel on the highway or open a tuition school or anything that he likes. then he can apply thai greencard as an …
